About this property

Welcome to Fort Myers RV Resort

Fort Myers RV Resort is a 3.9-star resort hotel situated along a canal in Fort Myers, Florida. It combines features of a campground and RV park, offering nearly 300 sites equipped with essential hookups such as electricity, water, and septic connections. The location on S Tamiami Trail provides convenient access, though some sites are close to the highway, which may contribute to noticeable road noise according to guest reports.

The property features a variety of amenities including a heated swimming pool, an 18-hole miniature golf course, a recreation hall, and areas for shuffleboard and billiards. Kayak rentals and river access add to the outdoor activity options, while an on-site store and propane refill services support guest needs. Facilities such as clean showers and restrooms receive positive mentions, though some guests felt the pool size was small relative to the number of sites.

Atmosphere at the resort is described as friendly and community-oriented, attracting both transient visitors and long-term seasonal residents. Staff members are often highlighted for their helpfulness and approachability, contributing to a welcoming environment. While the setting and amenities cater primarily to RV travelers and campers seeking an active or social experience, the proximity to the highway may not suit those sensitive to traffic noise.

Overall, Fort Myers RV Resort offers practical accommodations with a range of recreational options for guests looking for a moderately rated, clean, and well-maintained RV resort environment. It is especially well suited to those interested in seasonal stays or a social atmosphere, as yearly return visitors indicate a strong sense of community.

Park is very clean, staff is friendly and approachable. Road noise was almost unbearable in our space. Not much you can do about it. Fort Myers traffic is insane.

We stayed there for one night with our RV as we had to return it the next day at a close by station. The two ladies at the front desk were super nice and funny, and also extremely helpful, giving us tips where to go eat and other places around. Our RV spot had everything we needed, electricity, septic tank and water. Only downside was that it was rather close to the highway, but that didn't bother us too much. Pool, shower and restrooms were very clean and everything looked taken care of, can absolutely recommend.

Nice, clean, staff friendly. A lot of activities. My only complaint is the pool is too small for this many sites.

So far...SUPER Excited!!! We have reservations for February 2025. BUT, it was so nice that a human answered the phone (a real human) and they didn't rush me. I've called 15-20 places and get voicemail or no answer and no call backs or they just say they're all booked up. Theresa is fantastic!!!! She is very informative, answered all my questions and is very nice. I enjoyed our conversations. Can't wait for next February. Thank You Theresa, Tom

Update: We came back here to stay after visiting the resort last year. We love this place. The staff are very eager to help you, and there is a strong sense of community here. Why? Many of the guests staying here come year after year. This is their seasonal winter home. So, ".. everyone knows your name." As the song goes from the TV show Cheers. I'm so glad we made this our place to stay this year. Fort Myers RV Resort has nearly 300 RV sites. As expected, there are families that come here during the winter months (snow birds), and there are permanents and transient (like us). This is truly a luxury resort sporting a large heated pool, 18-hole miniature golf, recreation hall, shuffleboard, billiards, kayak rentals, and many other amenities. Propane refills. The grounds are well maintained and very clean. The staff are kind and very helpful. The pictures that I've included with this review were taken on cloudy overcast skies with temps in the low 60's. Normally, there are activities going on outdoors all the time. So! If you want to get involved, it is easy to do. Very ===================== last year's review Very nice RV park. Clean. Well kept. Many of the seasonal residents come year after year. There is a sense of community here that makes one feel at home. The club house or 'rec hall' I think they call it always has something going on. We joined in with a group to watch the NFL playoff games. It was fun. Lots of shouting and gentle ribbing at fans of the opposing team. The roads are wide, and it is easy to get into your site. We were only here for the day visiting friends, but if we were down here for the winter months, I would seriously consider staying here.

My first experience staying for "the season". A lady I met at the pool described this resort as a three star resort with 5 star people. My stay was a good one, and I booked again for next year. Here are my pros and cons. I also explored Lakes RV Park, American Outdoors (next door), and Swan Lake (North Fort Myers). Pros: #1 - Friendly campers who enjoy being outside and visiting with one another. #2 - Great location! Lots of shopping, restaurants and Three Oaks Park (public, free, great pickleball courts ~ 3 miles away) #3 - Good roads - can easily walk and bike through the park - sites seem more spacious than other parks #4 - Great pool and lots of activities. Shuffleboard and Bags were very popular. The miniature golf looked well maintained. #5 - Mostly helpful office and maintenance people. Stephanie is very patient and helpful. She helped me find a good site for next season. It was wonderful for Frank (Francisco) to help me into my site, and take me back to the office to get my tow vehicle. #6 - Sand &Sun RV repair is in the park. Jeff is the best tech I have run across in my 10 years of RVing. This was HUGE! He helped me a lot. Cons: #1 - 41 (Tamiami) is super busy and I was parked 200 feet or less from it.So, depending on where you get, there may be significant traffic noise. I got used to it, but some loud motorcycles and backfiring racing cars like to go through at around 2-3 am. Traffic began getting loud around 7 am. I ran a fan to help - could also use ear plugs. #2 - low water pressure - but I hear this is common in Florida. I had an Oxygenics shower, so that helped greatly. #3 - The pickleball court is unusable as one side faces the sun and is blinding when you try and play. However, it would be ok on a cloudy day. I just used Three Oaks Park instead. At least they tried. #4 - something to be aware of is there are strange rules and restrictions unique to different sites. For example,, I wanted to book site 161 but the concrete was not thick enough enough, and evidently they have pipes running under it. Thus, only lightweight travel trailers are allowed to park on that site. Comparison to other parks: Lakes RV has no amenities and is NOT pet friendly. They allow pets, but Lakes Park, which connects to the RV park, does not - so no walking your dog in the nice park. Sites were pretty nice, and there were a lot of trees. American Outdoors (next door) is in a better location as you have a stoplight to make a left onto 41. There is significantly less road noise. It is also very nice and has a hot tub in addition to all the things that this resort has. All sites are concrete with patios. Each lot is privately owned and rented, so you have to do a bit of work to rent. However, it was about the same cost as Fort Myers RV Resort, so I may stay there next year. The streets are one way and narrow and there are a lot more permanent units. This means less people sit outside and visit. Also, it was difficult to determine the site numbers. My hesitation is that it didn't seem like it would be easy to bike, walk or walk your dog. Parking was TIGHT and right up against the narrow road. I was in a Honda, and there was not enough room for my car and a bike or walker on the road. There are more trees at this resort, but very little grass. Still, if I didn't have a little dog, I would prefer it hands down over Fort Myers RV Resort. I'm mulling it over for next season. Swan Lake RV Resort - This is over the bridge in North Fort Myers, it costs a bit more than Fort Myers RV Resort. The park itself is beautiful, but I did not like the area around it. There were a few homeless people on bikes, and derelict looking strip malls around. Also, you'd have to cross the bridge to get to good shopping, restaurants, attractions, etc. It cost more than Fort Myers RV Resort. Location was more important to me, so it was a no go for me.

I love this little place of paradise. We were there again for our annual New years trip, and once again, they did not disappoint. Deedee, the activities coordinator, did an amazing job decorating and coordinating their NYE party. The music was great and the environment was very clean. I would recommend this place
